The short version: PALMS Pilot runs inside your own browser. Your BNI activity, notes, and checklist stay on your device — we never see them. The one time information leaves your browser is when you choose to use the AI Presentation Generator: the details you type there are sent to our server and our AI provider to write your presentation, then returned to you — we don't store them afterward. That's it.
1. Who we are
PALMS Pilot is a browser extension and related website operated by Hynds AI LLC (“Hynds AI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), based in Idaho, USA. This policy explains how we handle information in connection with the PALMS Pilot extension and the website at this domain (together, the “Service”).
PALMS Pilot is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, authorized, or endorsed by BNI (Business Network International).
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Support messages — anything you send us by email, including your name and email address so we can reply.
Information you submit to the AI Presentation Generator
The 60-second / feature presentation generator is optional. When you choose to use it, we receive only what you put into it so we can write your presentation:
- The details you enter — your business description, your optional name, your weekly referral ask, and the tone and length you select.
- An optional website address — if you add one, our server fetches the public text of that page to make your presentation more accurate to your real services. We only read publicly available page content; we never log into anything.
This information is sent to our AI provider to generate your presentation and is returned to you. We do not save it in a database, we do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising. We also do not log the content you type — only non-identifying metadata such as the length and tone you picked.
Information created when you use the extension
- Basic server logs — standard technical data (such as IP address, browser type, and request time) generated when the extension contacts our server for configuration, updates, and AI generation. Used for security and troubleshooting.
3. What we do not collect
- Your BNI login or password. The extension never asks for, stores, or transmits your BNI credentials.
- Your BNI activity data. Referrals, TYFCB, one-to-ones, CEUs, visitor data and similar information stay within your own BNI session and your own browser. We do not read, copy, or receive it.
- Your notes and checklist. Meeting notes and checklist progress are stored locally in your browser (local storage) and are not sent to us.
About the “Send to my phone” QR code: when you send a finished commercial to your phone, the text travels inside the QR code and link itself — it is never uploaded to or stored on our servers. The page that opens on your phone reads the text straight from the link.
4. How we use information
- To provide the Service and keep it working reliably.
- To generate a presentation for you when you use the AI generator, using the details you submit.
- To provide customer support and respond to your requests.
- To protect the Service against fraud, abuse, and technical problems.
- To comply with our legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
5. Service providers we use
We share limited information only with providers that help us run the Service, and only as needed:
- Resend — sending service and support emails.
- Abacus.AI — application hosting and infrastructure, and the AI models that generate your presentations. The details you submit to the generator (and any public website text we fetch for it) are processed by Abacus.AI to produce your presentation text.
These providers process information on our behalf under their own terms and privacy policies. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
6. Data retention
We keep support correspondence for as long as needed to help you and for legal and accounting purposes. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting. Information you submit to the AI generator is processed to create your presentation and is not retained by us afterward — we don't store it in a database. You can ask us to delete personal information that we are not required to keep (see below).
7. Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, email us at [email protected]. You can clear locally stored notes and checklist data at any time by removing the extension or clearing your browser storage.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we handle. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and to keep the Service safe.
9. Changes & contact
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be highlighted where appropriate.
